Action Words – Helpfulness
Continuing our series on action words and making use of them in your CV, today we are covering “Helping” words.
The use of action words is a critical element of your CV/Resume, they turn the tone of your writing from the passive voice, into the active voice.
Helpfulness refers to an individual’s willingness to assist and support others. It involves the ability to listen to others, follow instructions and provide assistance in achieving goals. Having strong helpfulness skills means being able to effectively and efficiently provide assistance to others. This can include providing emotional support, providing physical help, answering questions, and offering advice. Helpfulness also involves being able to demonstrate empathy and understanding towards others in order to better understand their needs.
